Displaying Photos in the Forum

Due to file size and bandwidth constraints, I cannot host many photos here. I encourage all of you to find a little web space, whether it be through your ISP or through a free service like Google Pages or Flickr, ImageShack or Photobucket.

Once you've uploaded your files, you can post inline links in messages like so:

  • Type your message
  • Click on the little image icon above the message area (second box to the right)
  • Paste the URL of your photo and choose your alignment (left, right, center, etc.) then click OK
  • When you're done typing your message, click Post Now

Hello Markos, I use http://www.maj.com

you can create your own folders and link the pictures to other sites, i use it for my ebay auctions and it hasnt let me down -
here are my folders for example

http://www.maj.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=gameboy

PS, this is my first post here, i collect Nintendo Game & Watches but now as my collection is almost complete i have started to turn my attention to vintage digital watches

Hey by the way Markos what's that watch in your avatar?

Cheers!
Ric
Nice casioric, think I'll explore that site. I just used tinypic.com; the good thing is you don't even need to register, the bad thing is there is then no way of keeping tabs (or folders) of your uploaded images Confused Your suggestion sounds more useful.

I used to like the Game&Watches; I have Parachute and the double screen Mickey and Donald towering inferno one, all still with boxes Wink

The Seiko is a talking one, see it in better detail at

my watches

It was specifically for visually impaired people, and speaks German or English. There was a black version too, speaking Spanish and English. Enjoy your hunt for watches....
I took a look at some of your watches, very nice, i am scared that i might go carzy now that i have started to collect, i am a bit of an obsessive, when i started collecting game and watches i didn't intend to collect every one made but after a while it became an addiction and i couldn't stop till i had all of 60 of them (well i still have a few to get) I hope dont feel the same about collectoing vintage watches, i mean ther are a lot more than 60 of them in existance!

Ric
This is true, and it's MUCH harder to get every one you want with watches, but I understand many people seem to want every version of their favourite brand, especially Casios...

Welcome to the world of collecting vintage LCDs!

i entered your folder and like the seiko very much and i can not enter you ebay . any link at mai.com lead me to there?
Heath,

Try this:

Go to http://xs.to/

On the first page that loads about half way down click the "choose file" button and a dialog box will pop up that should be your "my computer".

Select the file you want to upload and click "choose" - the box should disappear and you should be back to the original page but your file name should be next to the "choose file" button.

At this point you may choose to resize your image. I like to keep my images no bigger than 500 pixel in it's largest dimension.

Next you can enter your email address. I only did it the first time and it will remember you each time you upload.

Next click the "upload" button.

Another page will load with your picture shown at the top. Scroll down to the bottom of the box with all the codes and select the code that is in the "direct link" box (make sure you have everything selected) and copy/cut that entire line.

Next go back to the Nerd Watch forum and post your message. Where, in your message, you want the picture to appear click the second icon from the right at the top of the area where you just keyed your message.

A small dialog box will pop up. Paste the link you copied from the http://xs.to/ site that you uploaded your image. then click the "ok" button.

That should drop the image right into your message.

I hope this works!

photos would be nice! however i need information on my old seiko!.
i have seiko silver wave solar sports 150, the watch is square and the solar panel takes up just over half the watch. it is stainless steel and i believe this model was only sold in japan.
recently i sent it off to get it polished, and due to the amount of scratches on the crystal asked about a new crystal, with an answer of good luck!
can anyone help me with this?
A good service seems to be:

http://www.directupload.net

They say they store the pics for 12 months and they
even allow hotlinking (which is true, i linked some pics stored on their servers here on the forum in the last months - works like a charme!)

THE BIG DISADVANTAGE: Everything seems to be in german only ! I looked here and there without success, there is no english version it seems.
No problem for me, since german is my native language, you mileage may vary...
