some words would be useful.
Is it possible that these only appeared on the british market? It came to me in a LIMIT signed box and i am not sure why the watch isn't signed CATENA in front. Thankful for any opinion
Also StarWars appeared the same year this watch was produced. May it be possible this was inspired by the film?
I have two of the Limit versions using the ESA 9315. I posted a shot over here
They were sold only in the UK by Limit International.
Theres some info on Peter Doensens site and a page from the original magazine
I conclude there are 4 versions on the market,
case no 394-116
with ESA 9315 (branded CATENA or LIMIT)
with ESA 942.711 (unbranded in front)
case no 390-116
with ESA 9315 (branded CATENA or CARENA)
with ESA 942.711 (branded CATENA or CARENA)
Ive never had a catena but by looking at the photos on the web the difference would be the fascia panel, the Catena clasp and the caseback. I dont have my limit in front of me and one is missing half a bracelet. I may be wrong about the clasp. My limit have different fascai panels so there is at least two version of the Limit with the ESA 9315
Iam sure that these versions, Catena and Limit, show the Catena logo on clasp. The one Limit sold on eBay has a replacement caseback for sure but an original will not show the Catena logo in its centre like the Catena caseback does!
