well ive just done a bit of further investigation and th eone without the strap joiners doesn't have any papers in the box but the complete one does I have had batteries in both of them and the both appear to work (the digits light up etc) All I can say is make me a sensible offer and we will go from there! cheers Mark
Due to the contacts for the batteries made out of copper 'tape', the contacts just corrode and break, sometimes without battery leakage. I had to solder all connections back again, and replaced them with small wires.
After 3 hours with surgery... It fired up!Been wearing this watch now for 3 weeks, keeps good time! All you all know, these watches tend to break, and I have 4 and this is the longest one has lasted... with me that is....Just wanted to show you all......
If you have a Sinclair black watch, and are willing to sell it, please let me know.I would much prefer a working one, with or without strap. But if you have any that are broken, buying those too! Thanks,Harry.
Hi fellow members, today I put for sale a Sinclair Black Watch, the (in)famous digital watch made by the British inventor Sir Clive Sinclair. Regrettably, the watch doesn't work, so it's sold for spares or repair. The auction will run for 10 days. Auction link: http://cgi.ebay.com/172328813057
